Specializing in Nutrigenetics, Epigenetics, and Personalized Nutrition · Nutrition Genetic and Health Center · Turkey

She graduated from the Nutrition and Dietetics (English) program at Istanbul Bilgi University and pursued a master’s degree in genetics, continuing my academic career through an integrated PhD program. As part of my academic work, I carried out a study titled “Evaluation of Nutritional Habits in Individuals with Mutations in the LEPR Gene”. Specializing in nutrition, nutrigenetics, and epigenetics, I conduct multidisciplinary research examining the effects of genetic factors on nutrition. In collaboration with the Epigenetics Coaching team, I develop genetic-based health solutions and provide educational programs. By analyzing individuals' genetic data through personalized genetic test panels, I offer in-depth evaluations on topics such as diet and nutrition, metabolic syndrome, autoimmunity, mental health, weight management, sports, drug interactions, and vitamin-mineral supplementation. Additionally, I investigate the effects of bee products on DNA damage in a laboratory setting. My research focuses on apilarnil (drone bee larvae) in the context of reproductive health, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and epilepsy, while also exploring the impact of royal jelly on collagen production and health. Drawing from my clinical and academic experience, I founded the Nutrition Genetic and Health Center by Esra Şahin to provide genetic-based health and nutrition consultancy, developing personalized health strategies tailored to individuals' genetic profiles.
